Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Billing information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your credit card number — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
  • Usage data: We log which features you use, credit consumption, and generation history to improve the service and display your history to you.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically via standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the GenWebb service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, credit low warnings).
  • To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
  • Neon — encrypted database hosting.
  • Themecut — AI generation backend; your prompt and settings are sent to generate your site.
  • We share only what is necessary for each provider to perform their service.

4. Cookies

  • We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We do not use third-party analytics scripts that fingerprint or track you across sites.

5. Data Retention

  • Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Generation history is retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. This permanently removes all personal data within 30 days.

6. Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
  • Database access is restricted to application servers and encrypted at rest.

7. Your Rights

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may update your name and email from your account settings at any time.
  • Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
  • Portability: You may export your generation history from your dashboard.

8. Children

  • GenWebb is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
  • Continued use of GenWebb after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
